Others will not work sincerely for us. We should learn to work heart and soul. Self help makes us successful. It gives us strength and vigour. If we do not work our selves but look up to others, who work themselves. We others, we become utter failure who remain idle can never achieve any thing in life. The proverb is a warning to idle persons. Many people do not work hard. They are idle and easy going. They like to have their work done by others. Such persons can never be successful in life Others will not work hard for them. Their work is either undone or done partly. Such persons cannot achieving great in life. They remain miserable and unhappy. These people should learn a lesson from the lives of great them. All great men were self reliant and hard working. They did not depend upon others. They laboured day and night and attained fame and honour. We should amulet their examples. The proverb in illustrated by the story of Hercules and the carter. A carter was once driving his cart. Unfortunately, the cart got stuck in the muddy road. The carter did not try to push the cart but cried out to the god Hercules for help. Hercules appeared there and advised him to put this shoulders to the wheel. The carter did so, and the cart moved on. It was the result of self help. So we should do our work by ourselves. If we want to be successful in life we should learn to stand on our own legs. Self help is the best help. It helps us to work hard for success. A hard working man is never disappointed of success.
